SILVER TREES
1972 - Metallic filaments . Various size
Shining trees, technological trees,
creating a disturbing sense of peace and serenity; emanating expressive
poetry and vitality of movement: through the vibrations of the branches
moving in the wind or light breeze they emit sounds. An infinite theory
of projected silver reflections: the branches hit by the light emit flashes
like laments.
From cement cubes anodised aluminium sculptures rise. Thousands of easily modelled
filaments allow for infinite compositions: shrubs, willows, trees, plants and
bushes.
The twisted strands conserve vibrating and vibrant form whatever the final composition.
